Two thousand years later, we lost that system. We replaced it with star ratings, fake reviews, and algorithms that treat everyone the same. You can be known by the restaurant, barber, butcher or shop you trust at home, then arrive in a new city as a stranger.
Tessera exists because that's broken. We're beginning with restaurants, cafés and bars, then extending the same relationship layer to barbers and hairdressers, specialty food shops, wine merchants, fitness studios, tailors, premium retail and other businesses built on return relationships.
Not everyone carries the same Tessera. You earn your half. And that's what makes it worth carrying.
